  • Visit a Museum

    Hildene
    The historic Lincoln family estate, built by Presidential son Robert Lincoln, and his wife Mary is a beautiful place to visit any time of year. It offers historical exhibits, a farm, and beautiful trails for hiking or snowshoeing.

    The American Museum of Fly Fishing
    Established in 1968, the museum houses over 40,000 fly fishing artifacts and documents the history of the sport.

  • Alpine Ski

    If you know anything about Vincent & Zoe, you know that this is probably what you can find them doing this weekend. There are three resorts within a 30-minute drive of Manchester:

  • Take a Sleigh Ride

    Taylor Farm
    Reservations may be required. The experience includes some hot cider and you are free to bring your own food and drink to enjoy!

  • Go Snowmobiling

    Pretty much any information you will need on this is probably available on this site. Rentals and tours are available at various locations including Stratton Mountain Resort, more info here.

  • Off-Road in a Land Rover

    You and a few friends can tackle some terrain with a driving instructor in a Land Rover. More info here.

  • Ice Skating

    In town, the Northshire Civic Center Riley Rink is the place to go and offers skate rentals. They also offer other indoor activities such as a golf simulator and batting cages.

  • Enjoy some Vermont Maple Syrup

    Merck Forest & Farmland Center is a non-profit educational center with a variety of experiences to enjoy as it is a working farm year-round. March is sugaring season and the farm welcomes visitors to experience the process. More info here.

  • Enjoy the town!

    You don’t have to be outside to enjoy winter in Manchester. It is a great place to shop, with dozens of outlets and boutiques. There is a movie theater, yoga studio, spa, and several art galleries. Manchester is also home to one of New England's largest and most famous independent bookstores!
